New Product Release: XL Sidekick App

The free XL Sidekick app (iOS and Android).

The app allows you to interact with any XL devices running version 2.21 or later, to allow control of an XL device much as a barcode scanner does, and to see live data - from anywhere in your plant. Once you enable access, it works on your local network safely behind your firewall, just like your XL devices.

Use action screens to assign a reason when the line goes down, enter reject quantities, start the next job, and more. So just like you currently do with a barcode scanner.

Use data screens to view detailed, real-time production data for the shift, part, and hour.

This can be used in different ways

• alongside a scanner that you already have connected as an additional control method

• replace the scanner entirely (although we do believe the scanner is still the simplest way for operators on the floor to control the XL system)

• be a backup in case a scanner is not usable.

Your XL Display will have to be updated to software version 2.21 or higher to use XL Sidekick.
